A new beginning

I will be starting a new job tomorrow after two years away from the corporate environment.  I have learned a lot about myself in the past two years asides from the worldly processes that intrigued me.  I'm not sure where this new path will carry me, but it is the logical step to fulfill my social responsibilities given the circumstance.

Today is the day after Christmas 2011.  I received a singing bowl as a present, which feels serendipitous with the mala beads that was purchased a couple weeks ago.

Mala beads was from http://www.destinationom.com/, which consists of Nepal Bodhi Beads, two beautiful turquoises, and a rudraksha guru head. Singing bowl is handmade in Nepal and purchased from worldstock - a fair trade, socially responsible department of overstock.com.  These are great tools for meditation, and I'm hoping that they will deepen my practice in the new year.  Namaste!

Why starting this blog

Soulside Journey by Alexandre Deschaumes (alexandredeschaumes)) on 500px.comThere were a lot of changes in my life in the past couple years.  I've learned that self-reflection and contemplation are useful and even necessary for personal growth.  So at the very minimum, this blog will serve as a tool for note taking in this process. It will also help organizing my thoughts as it's written down.

If you stumbled onto this blog somehow, Namaste! I'm open to other thoughts and opinions on the topics written.
